The short version
Be respectful. Be helpful. Share real, practical knowledge. Leave the sales pitch at the door.
Expected behavior
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints, experiences, and skill levels.
- Give and gracefully accept constructive technical feedback.
- Focus on what's best for the community.
- Show empathy and courtesy toward other attendees, speakers, and hosts.
Unacceptable behavior
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Personal or political attacks, or demeaning comments.
- Sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome advances.
- Product pitches or marketing presentations — our events are educational and experience-driven, not sales venues.
- Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
- Any other conduct that would be inappropriate in a professional setting.
Talks, recordings & content
We want great talks to reach as many people as possible, while speakers keep credit and ownership of their work.
- Speakers retain ownership of their talk content, slides, and materials.
- By speaking at an event, speakers grant the AI Cyber Alliance a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to record, publish, and share their talk (for example on YouTube and this website) so the community can learn from it.
- Recordings are published under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) unless a speaker requests otherwise in advance — so anyone may share them, with attribution.
- Speakers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to any material they present, and should not share confidential or proprietary information without permission.
- A speaker may ask that their session not be recorded, or request removal of a recording, by contacting the organizers.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies at all Alliance events (in person and online), in our community channels, and whenever someone is representing the community.
Reporting
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, contact the organizers through our LinkedIn group. Reports are handled with discretion. Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including removal from an event and future events.
Attribution
Adapted from the Contributor Covenant, v2.1. Talk licensing terms are our own.
